Hours of Operation
Walnut Mountain's Administration Office hours are currently:
Monday through Friday - 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
All visitors, vendors and delivery services must stop at the Walnut Mountain Welcome Station, which is open:
- Monday through Saturday - 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- Sunday - 11:00a.m. to 3 :00 p.m.
The Administration Office, Welcome Station and Maintenance are closed in observance of the following holidays:
- Thanksgiving Day 11/22/2018
- Christmas Day 12/251/2018
Walnut Mountain Campground
To prevent unauthorized use and vandalism, the campground is locked after hours and runs on the same schedule as the Welcome Station, except when occupied by valid campers.
The Walnut Mountain pool is open to property owners and their guests from Memorial
Day through September 30. Hours of operation are:
Tuesday - Sunday: 10 a.m. - Sunset
Monday: 12 p.m. - Sunset.

Prior to initiating any modifications to lots or homes, property owners must have proper approval from the Architectural Control Committee (ACC) of Walnut Mountain. Please complete the requisite form and submit it to the ACC by mailing or delivering it to Walnut Mountain's Administrative Office. Allow 15 days notice for ACC review and approval.
It is important to note that ACC forms and approval may require additional documentation, including surveys, Gilmer County building permits, etc. Details are included on the forms, which can be downloaded using the 'Forms' menu at the top of this page. Contact the Administrative Office with questions.

Walnut Mountain has been a designated Firewise Community since 2009. This designation means we've met the criteria for becoming a Firewise Communities by taking annual, systematic action to reduce the risks from brush, grass and forest fires.
